Born & raised in Hobart Tasmania

Graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1980  with Bachelor of Medical Science   and    Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery   ( B. Med. Sci.  MBBS)

Following residency years; 15 yrs in General Practice in Launceston as Managing Partner, with sub interests in Practice Management and Sports Medicine.

 Competed at a State and National level in Squash.

In 1997 entered surgical training; initially General Surgery followed by  Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery; with fellowship in 2003   ( FRACS )

Appointed a Visiting Medical Officer to Royal North Shore Hospital  / Ryde Hospital   late  2004.

Clinical Lecturer – Australian School of Advance Medicine     Macquarie University
